Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning to real-world practice within our pharmacy team, under a preceptor and district leader. You will complete a comprehensive training roadmap in 120 days to deepen understanding of store, district, and regional operations.

As part of the internship, you will support timely, safe prescription filling, adhere to SOPs, and uphold patient-centered service while developing skills for increasing responsibility.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post‑Graduate Training Program at CVS Health.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to concentrate on a task over a period of time and pivot quickly to meet patient and business needs.
• Verify prescription information and label accuracy to ensure patient safety.
• Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues and use active listening.
• Apply math to determine tablets, days supply, and bottle counts for prescriptions.
• Identify and resolve challenging patient or colleague interactions.
