Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern in California to apply didactic learning in a real-world setting and prepare for a pharmacist role. You will work under a preceptor, following a comprehensive training path that includes KLEs and hands-on store operations insights.

You will gain experience in prescription processing, patient counseling, and collaborative practice with pharmacists and technicians while delivering safe, compassionate care in a retail environment.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs to support pharmacists and technicians in patient health.
• Assist with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and workflow at the pharmacy workstation.
• Counsel patients when appropriate and provide empathetic, high‑quality service.
• Assist with immunizations and point‑of‑care testing where allowed by law and training.
• Complete inventory activities and support store operations as directed by leadership.
• Maintain patient safety, privacy, and compliance with regulations and CVS policies.

ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy

Valid intern and/or technician licensure
