Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a pharmacy intern to support the pharmacist and pharmacy team in providing excellent patient care. You will assist with processing prescriptions, offering customer service, and helping with health services within the state scope of practice.

You will learn policies, procedures, and quality standards while gaining real-world experience in a busy community pharmacy environment. This role requires flexibility for evenings and weekends to meet patient needs.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist and pharmacy team to deliver best patient experience and process prescriptions.
• Engage customers and patients, answer questions, and resolve issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Support inventory management, order processing, and insurance/third‑party processing as directed.
• Assist with patient counseling and health services within state scope of practice for interns.
• Adhere to pharmacy code of conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
• Maintain clean, organized pharmacy area and accurately handle cash/register duties.
