Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacists and the pharmacy team in delivering excellent patient care and service. You will learn to process prescriptions, assist with store and pharmacy operations, and participate in patient counseling under pharmacist supervision.

The role requires enrollment in a School of Pharmacy, fluency in English, and a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends. Regulatory compliance and excellent customer service are emphasized at Walgreens.

Qualifications

Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
Currently enrolled in a School of Pharmacy program.
Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

Engage customers and patients, assist with products and services to ensure a positive experience.
Share customer service best practices with team to deliver a delightful experience.
Develop strong relationships with customers.
Under pharmacist supervision, assist in pharmacy practice per policy and SOPs.
Assist in entering, third-party processing, filling and dispensing prescriptions.
Report prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty per policy.
Support inventory management and pharmacy operations as needed.
Maintain clean, stocked Pharmacy Department and adhere to policies.
