Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic knowledge in real-world pharmacy settings. Under a preceptor, you will follow a structured training roadmap, participate in SOPs, and support the pharmacy team to ensure safe, prompt, and accurate prescription handling.

You will gain exposure to store operations, district perspectives, and opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge while supporting immunizations and other pharmacist‑provided services.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure.

Responsibilities

• Following SOPs to help Pharmacists and Technicians manage patient health.
• Assisting with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment workflows.
• Counseling patients and soliciting information on medical history when appropriate under supervision.
• Taking telephonic prescriptions and clarifying prescriptions with prescribers when allowed.
• Providing coaching and mentoring to pharmacy team members within leadership guidance.
• Completing inventory activities and assisting with stock management.
• Contributing to a high‑performing team and sharing best practices.

Education

ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
