Job summary

Mass General Brigham Wentworth-Douglass Hospital is seeking a Pharmacy Intern Year 1 to support medication distribution and patient care under a pharmacist's supervision. You will learn drug-therapy principles, interpretation of orders, compounding, and dispensing while supporting patient education and safety guidelines.

Work will involve rounds, collaboration with the treatment team, and direct patient contact to ensure appropriate medication use and safety.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Participate in interdisciplinary rounds.

• Counsel patients on prescription and OTC medications and devices.
• Monitor medication therapies by reviewing profiles and labs.
• Assist pharmacists in gathering information for nurses and physicians.
• Fill and deliver medications per nursing units and Pyxis checks.
• Provide good customer service at the pharmacy window and rounds.
