Job summary

CVS Health in Decatur, Alabama is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern for a part-time role. You will support the pharmacy team by ensuring accurate prescription fulfillment and patient care, and you will follow SOPs under pharmacist supervision.

The internship offers hands-on preparation for a Pharmacist role, immunization support where allowed, and opportunities to learn store, district, and regional operations. Strong communication, customer service, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.
• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure operations run smoothly and prescriptions are filled accurately and on time.
• Follow SOPs, participate in training roadmap, and support pharmacy leadership in daily tasks.
• Provide immunizations or point‑of‑care testing where allowed by state regulations and under supervision.
• Counsel patients, answer questions, and collect necessary medical information to ensure safe, effective care.
