Job summary

The position requires enrollment in a pharmacy program with completion of at least the first professional year and eligibility for the NYS intern permit. Weekend/holiday availability preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• Enrollment as a full-time student in a pharmacy program with expected graduation 2027 or 2028.
• Completed first professional year of pharmacy school.
• Eligible for NYS pharmacy intern permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist(s) with interpretation of medication orders to ensure accurate doses and frequencies.
• Use clinical information systems for retrieval and review of patient information, report generation, and label printing.
• Communicate with other healthcare personnel.
• Collect patient-specific clinical information (age, weight, height, lab data, diagnosis).
• Prepare, label, and deliver patient medication cassettes and unit doses, ensuring proper par levels and accuracy.

Education

High School diploma/GED

Enrolled as a full-time student in an accredited school of pharmacy and graduating in 2027 or 2028

Completed first professional year of pharmacy school

Eligible to receive NYS pharmacy intern permit
