Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking a Pharmacy intern to support licensed pharmacists under direct supervision. Responsibilities include filling medication cassettes, operating automated dispensing machines, compounding sterile and non-sterile products, and conducting shelf checks while helping with QA/PI projects and data collection.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and enrollment or graduation from an ACPE-accredited college of Pharmacy, along with a NYS Pharmacy Intern Permit.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Enrollment or graduate of ACPE accredited college of Pharmacy or equivalent pharmacy intern permit.
• Pharmacy Intern Permit-NYS must be obtained/held.

Responsibilities

• Assists licensed pharmacists with filling medication cassettes and using automated dispensing systems.
• Compounds sterile and non-sterile products.
• Performs shelf checks and general organization of the pharmacy.
• Assists in quality assurance/performance improvement projects and patient data collection.
• Answers telephone with courtesy and promptness.
• Supports nursing station reviews and QA/PI projects as needed.
• Assists with security and medication procurement, stocking and deliveries.
