Job summary

CVS Health is offering a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern program in retail locations. You’ll apply classroom learning to real-world practice under a licensed pharmacist, supporting the pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and excellent patient service.

This part-time internship emphasizes SOP compliance, immunization support, and hands-on exposure to store operations across the district.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by following all SOPs to support pharmacists and technicians.
• Assist with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment across workflow stations.
• Provide empathetic patient care, counsel patients when appropriate, and escalate as needed.
• Take telephonic prescriptions, clarify with the prescriber when allowed by state rules.
• Participate in inventory activities and ensure proper storage of medications.
• Support immunization services and educate patients on vaccines where permitted.
• Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and teamwork in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Maintain patient privacy and comply with all applicable laws and CVS policies.
