Job summary

The Kroger family of companies is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacy operations in Tucson, AZ. You will assist customers, counsel on medications, input prescriptions accurately, and help maintain a safe, clean environment within the department.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a US school of pharmacy.
• Current state-issued Pharmacy Intern license.
• Gain and maintain knowledge of pharmaceutical products.

Responsibilities

• Create an outstanding customer experience through service.
• Assist with immunizations under pharmacist supervision.
• Input patient and prescription information into the pharmacy computer system.
• Dispense correct medication and contact prescribers’ offices for authorization.
• Provide drug counseling and OTC recommendations.
• Handle third-party insurance processing and billing.
