Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to join our retail pharmacy team in the market. You will apply didactic learning to real-world practice under a preceptor, supporting the pharmacy team to ensure safe, efficient, and caring patient service.

You will gain hands-on experience across store operations, SOP adherence, and collaboration with pharmacists, technicians, and leadership while preparing for a Pharmacist role in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Qualifications

• ACPE-accredited pharmacy program enrollment or acceptance.
• Must possess or be in the process of obtaining intern/technician licensure.
• Demonstrates eagerness to learn and follow SOPs.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly and accurately.
• Counsel patients and answer questions under supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify with prescriber when required by state regulations.
• Maintain inventory tasks and participate in cycle counts and returns-to-stocks.
• Support immunization services and vaccine-related workflows as trained.

Education

ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy

Valid intern and/or technician licensure in process
