Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Pharmacy Intern (3rd year) to support pharmacy teams in delivering prompt, safe, and compassionate service in CVS Retail stores. You will apply didactic learning to real-world practice under a preceptor, rotating through store, district, and regional operations to build readiness for a Pharmacist role.

Responsibilities include following SOPs, assisting with prescriptions, counseling patients, and supporting immunizations and other services where allowed by law.

Qualifications

• ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy required or enrollment in progress.
• Active intern and/or technician licensure as required by state.

Responsibilities

• Follow SOPs at each workstation to support pharmacists and technicians.
• Assist with safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and customer service.
• Counsel patients and answer medication questions under supervision of a pharmacist.
• Accept telephonic prescriptions and coordinate with prescriber for clarifications.
• Perform basic inventory tasks and support pharmacy leadership as directed.
• Support immunization efforts and patient care services where allowed by law.

Education

ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
