Job summary

CVS Health is offering a Graduate Pharmacy Intern program designed to transition PharmD graduates into pharmacist roles. Under supervision, interns follow a 120‑day training roadmap, support pharmacy operations, and ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment while delivering compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities include assisting in daily pharmacy workflow, participating in immunization services where allowed, and maintaining SOPs and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post-Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines. Failure to obtain required Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation will result in separation of employment.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
• 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to become immunization certified when state regulations are met and to support immunizations as a pharmacist function
• Willingness to work across the market to meet business needs
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
• Follow SOPs and maintain patient safety and privacy
• Provide counseling and answer medical questions under supervision
• Support immunizations and point-of-care services where allowed
• Complete basic inventory activities and assist with pharmacy operations
• Maintain empathy, customer service, and teamwork
• Travel to stores in the market as needed
• Adhere to federal, state, and local laws and CVS policies
