Job summary

CVS Health Corporation in the United States is seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to learn under a pharmacist and prepare for a Pharmacist role. You will follow a 120‑day training roadmap, support the pharmacy team, and ensure safe, accurate medication handling.

You will progressively take on responsibilities, including SOP adherence, patient counseling, immunizations and service expansion while maintaining patient safety and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post‑Graduate Training Program at CVS Health
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required
• Preferred: 1+ years of related work experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
• Ability to become immunization certified when state regulations are met

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
• Assist the pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately
• Counsel and field medical questions, and obtain patient history to provide optimal care
• Take telephonic prescriptions from the prescriber and clarify prescriptions when needed
• Support immunizations and point‑of‑care testing where allowed by law
• Serve as a trainee under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Travel to stores in the market to work shifts as needed by the business
• Comply with all laws, regulations and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy
