Job summary

Meijer Inc. Pharmacy seeks a Pharmacy Intern to support customer service, prescription processing, and clinical services.

You will work under supervision to manage inventory and assist patients, with opportunities for education and growth within the Meijer Pharmacy team. The role requires enrollment in an accredited pharmacy school and a state-specific Pharmacy Intern License, with a patient-focused, detail-oriented mindset and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school.
Pharmacy Intern License (state-specific).
Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.
Neat and legible penmanship; organizational and prioritization skills.
Team-oriented mindset with timeliness and dependability.
Understanding of patient confidentiality and MTM platforms.
Knowledge of brand/generic medication names and pharmacy terminology.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service and assist patients with product selection.
Communicate with patients in person and by telephone; obtain medication prices.
Process and fill prescriptions.
Use pharmacy computer system for prescription data entry and third party adjudication; pull products; label and dispense prescriptions at fill station; manage Will Call.
Handle third-party functions and inventory management.
Update balance on hand (BOH); order products; look up Meijer codes; process vendor chargebacks/transfers/salvage.
Provide clinical services as applicable; maintain patient confidentiality.
