Job summary

Meijer Inc. in Indiana is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to provide customer service, process and fill prescriptions, and support clinical services under supervision.

You will assist with inventory, third party billing, and use our pharmacy computer system to enter data and verify prices. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school and hold a state-appropriate Pharmacy Intern License, with strong communication and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Customer service.
• Communicating with patients in person and via telephone; assisting patients with product selection; obtaining medication prices.
• Processing and filling prescriptions.
• Using pharmacy computer system for prescription data entry & third party adjudication; pulling correct products from the shelf; counting and labeling prescriptions.
• Third-party functions.
• Inventory management.
• Updating balance on hand; product ordering; vendor charge backs/transfers/salvage.
• Clinical services.
