Job summary

Walgreens in the United States seeks a Pharmacist to provide expert medication counseling, assess drug interactions, and dispense prescribed medicines accurately within regulatory guidelines. You will support immunizations, preventive care services, and ensure safe, effective use of therapies while maintaining patient privacy.

You will help optimize pharmacy workflows, manage inventory, review insurance claims, and assist with performance metrics.

Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Pharm D degree before start date.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure within 90 days of hire.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients on medicine usage, side effects, interactions, and generics; refers to provider when needed.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures compliant dispensing and insurance processing; supports workflow and KPI reviews.
• Performs immunizations and other preventive health services (flu shots, diabetes awareness).
• Maintains and enhances pharmacy systems to support productivity and customer care.
