Job summary

Meijer Pharmacy Internship program develops interns into future pharmacy leaders, with site assignments and a focus on patient care, clinical services and leadership competencies. Interns progress academically while engaging in Meijer projects and leadership development.

Interns work with a pharmacist preceptor, learn to meet legal requirements, maintain documentation, and complete quarterly conversations and training plans.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an accredited pharmacy school and actively pursuing licensure.
• Will hold an intern license and maintain immunization training when applicable.
• Demonstrates flexibility, dependability and ability to balance academics with work.

Responsibilities

• Develop professional and leadership competencies expected of a future pharmacist.
• Assist customers in the pharmacy while building positive patient relationships.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal and Meijer policies and keep licenses and documentation current.
• Complete training plans and collaborate with a pharmacist preceptor for development.
• Compile electronic portfolio and participate in immunization, MTM, and health screening programs.
• Commit to 16–32 hours per month and adapt as needs arise.
