Job summary

CVS Health in Beaverton, OR is recruiting a 3rd year Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning to real-world practice under a preceptor. You will follow a comprehensive training roadmap, assist in pharmacy operations, and learn to deliver safe, accurate prescriptions while providing caring service to patients.

Qualifications

• Accepted into, or actively enrolled in, an ACPE accredited college or school of pharmacy
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Living our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help pharmacists and technicians manage and improve patient health
• Following pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
• Contributing to positive patient experiences showing empathy and genuine care
• Offering to counsel, fielding medical questions, and soliciting information on a patient’s medical history to provide optimal care under supervision
• Taking telephonic prescriptions from the prescriber and coordinating with prescribers to clarify prescriptions when allowed
• Maintaining high level of self-awareness and providing coaching and mentoring to team members
• Completing basic inventory activities and ensuring proper stocking and counts
• Contributing to a high-performing team and staying flexible for scheduling and store needs
• Understanding and complying with all laws and CVS policies to ensure patient safety and privacy
• Delivering additional patient health care services (immunizations, point-of-care testing) where allowed by law
