Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacists in medication preparation, compounding, and distribution under licensed supervision.
You will use pharmacy automation, assist with narcotics inventory, and participate in clinical and administrative tasks while advancing your education and licensure requirements.
This role requires PharmD graduates with an active intern license; a strong eye for detail and clear communication are essential.
As our Pharmacy Intern, you are a crucial part of our healthcare team, dedicated to changing patient care for the better. The post-graduate pharmacy intern has responsibility for assisting with controlled substances management, meeting DEA, FDA, and state regulations, and has access to and manages medication storage areas using pharmacy automation.
Every day, you will be responsible for assisting the Pharmacist in medication preparation, compounding, inventory management, and distribution, requiring extreme accuracy and attention to detail. You will field and triage calls and questions regarding medication distribution, assisting other caregivers within their scope of practice. The intern will also actively participate in clinical and administrative functions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist to augment their education and to gain insight and practical experience in their future roles as pharmacists.
