Job summary
Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital Medical Center is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support pharmacists in medication preparation, compounding, and distribution under licensed supervision.
You will use pharmacy automation, assist with narcotics inventory, and participate in clinical and administrative tasks while advancing your education and licensure requirements.
This role requires PharmD graduates with an active intern license; a strong eye for detail and clear communication are essential.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy, including didactic courses and experiential rotations in pharmaceutical care
- Active Pharmacist Intern License in good standing in the state; PHRMINTERN: XX; TN PHARMTECH alternative accepted where applicable
- Active Pharmacist License in good standing in the state within 6 months of graduation
- Fire Safety Certificate within 90 days of start date
Responsibilities
- Assist Pharmacist in medication preparation and compounding
- Use pharmacy automation to optimize safety and efficiency
- Manage inventory and complete cycle counts
- Respond to inquiries regarding medication distribution and provide follow-up
- Participate in clinical and administrative functions under pharmacy leadership
