Job summary

GeBBS Healthcare Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Intake Specialist to receive, process, and document prescription referrals while ensuring accurate patient, insurance, and provider information.

You will liaise with patients, providers, insurers, and pharmacy staff to facilitate timely prescription fulfillment and excellent patient service. Role requires 2+ years in specialty pharmacy, CareTend experience, and strong data-entry and communication skills within HIPAA-compliant workflows.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with specialty or mail-order pharmacy operations.
• CareTend experience required.
• Familiarity with pharmacy management systems, EMRs, or healthcare databases.
• Proficiency with insurance verification, prior authorizations, or benefits investigations.
• Minimum of 2 years in a specialty pharmacy environment.
• Strong data entry skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; HIPAA awareness.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process incoming prescription referrals via phone, fax, email, and electronic systems.
• Enter patient demographics, prescription and insurance information into pharmacy systems.
• Verify completeness and accuracy of referral documentation.
• Contact patients, providers, and insurers to obtain missing information.

• Provide exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and team members.
• Collaborate with pharmacists and billing staff to ensure efficient workflow.

The pay range for this role is:
