Job summary

Excellus BCBS is seeking a Pharmacy Innovation Project Manager to lead multiple concurrent projects from ideation through post-implementation monitoring. The role emphasizes planning, budgeting, and stakeholder communication within a healthcare context.

Level I–III responsibilities include directing matrixed teams, refining programs, and ensuring timely delivery while maintaining privacy and compliance. Travel within service regions may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Minimum five years demonstrated project management performance in healthcare administration or related area.
• Three years of project management experience managing cross-functional teams.
• Experience with multiple project methodologies (waterfall, agile, SDLC).
• Strong communicator with ability to present to stakeholders and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate matrixed teams to implement Pharmacy Innovation projects through ideation, assessment, delivery, and refinement.
• Monitor activities, report on progress, and manage budgets and requirements.
• Lead cross-divisional collaboration between Pharmacy Innovation, LBS, PHE, IT and customer service.
• Coach and mentor teams; drive process improvement and knowledge transfer.
• Represent Pharmacy Innovation in meetings and ensure alignment with leadership priorities.
• Develop and maintain project work plans and deliverables; monitor risk and scope changes.
