Job summary

MercyOne Dubuque is seeking a Pharmacy Information Systems Coordinator to manage pharmacy IT interfaces and optimize technology use within the pharmacy department.

You will collaborate with staff, develop workflows, and represent MercyOne to Trinity Health Corporate on IT needs and functionality. A CPhT is required or must be obtained within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• AA degree in computer technology is preferred.
• Pharmacy experience is desired.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Information systems/PC knowledge and experience required.
• Pharmacy technical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the hospital’s interface with pharmacy information technology, both within and outside of the pharmacy department.
• Serve as a resource for staff and help develop and implement efficiencies related to technology.
• Represent MMC Dubuque to Trinity Health Corporate regarding information technology needs and functionality.

As a Pharmacy Information Systems Coordinator at MercyOne, you will:

• Coordinate the hospital’s interface with pharmacy information technology, both within and outside of the pharmacy department
• Serve as a resource for staff members and is responsible for working with the department to develop and implement efficiencies related to technology
• Serve as a representative for MMC Dubuque to Trinity Health Corporate regarding information technology needs and functionality

Schedule:

• 24 hours per week

General Requirements:

• AA degree in computer technology preferred - pharmacy experience is desired
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required or willingness to obtain within 12 months of hire
• Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training is required within 6 months of hire and every 5 years thereafter
• Information systems/PC knowledge and experience required
• Pharmacy technical experience preferred
