Job summary

Walgreens is hiring a Pharmacy Technician Fulfillment in Pittsburgh, PA. The role focuses on order processing support for fulfillment and distribution of prescription medications via the fulfillment system, following SOPs and company policies.

You will develop proficiency across medication dispensing areas, assist with training, prepare bulk medication for automated systems, and handle packing, labeling, and shipping tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current Pharmacy Technician license/registration in good standing.
• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Basic knowledge of MS Windows, MS Office Suite and/or similar software.
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs in a repetitive motion.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains proficiency in all medication dispensing areas and workstations.
• May assist with department training and new hire support.
• Prepares bulk medication for loading into automated dispensing system.
• Performs manual packing duties including packing and shipping, verifying orders, and preparing packages for mail.
• Affixes labels to the appropriate containers.
• Conducts cycle counts and put away.
• Resolves order delay reporting as well as upgrade, expedite and cancel orders.
• May also be responsible for stocking non-pharmaceutical products.
• Other responsibilities as judgement or necessity dictate.
• Must obtain active technician license or certification within the first 90 days and maintain an active technician license or certification.
