Job summary

Allmed Staffing Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Floor Technician to join a fast-paced pharmacy team. You will work alongside licensed pharmacists to ensure accurate medication preparation and timely patient care.

The role requires a Tennessee Pharmacy Technician license, a high school diploma, and the ability to work in a high-volume setting. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential. OT, weekends, and on-site work are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Tennessee Pharmacy Technician License.

Responsibilities

  • Accurately pick, scan, label, and prepare prescription medications for final pharmacist verification.
  • Fill daily medication orders quickly and accurately.
  • Package medications and supplies for distribution in a high-volume setting.
  • Pull medications from inventory and prepack frequently ordered prescriptions.
  • Apply labels to blister cards and verify products using barcode scanning technology.
  • Troubleshoot scanning issues and communicate discrepancies to the pharmacist on duty.
  • Process returned medications according to company procedures, including proper recycling and disposal.
  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked to support daily operations.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines and pharmacy regulations at all times.
  • Support team goals by assisting with additional pharmacy and warehouse tasks as needed.

Pharmacy Floor Technician

Join a fast-paced pharmacy team where you'll play a vital role in ensuring patients receive their medications accurately and on time. As a Pharmacy Floor Technician, you'll work alongside licensed pharmacists in a collaborative environment focused on quality, efficiency, and exceptional patient care.

Schedule
  • Monday–Friday: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM

  • Every other weekend: 8:30 AM – 3:00 PM (required)

What You'll Do
  • Accurately pick, scan, label, and prepare prescription medications for final pharmacist verification.

  • Fill daily medication orders quickly and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy.

  • Package medications and supplies for distribution in a high-volume pharmacy setting.

  • Pull medications from inventory and prepack frequently ordered prescriptions.

  • Apply labels to blister cards and verify products using barcode scanning technology.

  • Troubleshoot scanning issues and communicate discrepancies to the pharmacist on duty.

  • Process returned medications according to company procedures, including proper recycling and disposal.

  • Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked to support smooth daily operations.

  • Follow HIPAA guidelines, pharmacy regulations, and company safety policies at all times.

  • Support team goals by assisting with additional pharmacy and warehouse tasks as needed.

What We're Looking For
  • Active, unrestricted Tennessee Pharmacy Technician License.

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to read, write, and understand English.

  • Previous pharmacy technician experience is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the shift.

  • Comfortable standing for up to 10 hours in a production environment.

  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to read small print and distinguish colors.

  • Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
