Responsibilities

• Demonstrate teamwork to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant working and shopping environment.
• Provide friendly and efficient customer service demonstrating sincerity, patience and respect in all interactions.
• Adhere to all local, state and federal health and civil codes.
• Adhere to state and federal guidelines regarding annual licensing and restrictions on dispensing drugs.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter prescription and patient data.
• Supervise filling and provide pharmacy technician prescription information.
• Counsel patients about side effects, administration, and interactions; ensure understanding of treatment.
• Consult with prescriber on drug therapy appropriateness.
• Follow approved efficiency and accuracy procedures when filling prescriptions.
• Administer immunizations under defined protocols.
• Provide direct patient clinical services including coaching and medication therapy management.
• Monitor/maintain patient profiles.
• Monitor inventory levels to ensure adequate service levels.
• Perform daily operational duties under the pharmacy manager.
• Follow department policies and best practices for pharmacy operations.
• Ensure HIPAA privacy compliance.
• Report illegal activity and comply with safety and loss prevention rules.
• Comply with food safety and health code regulations; report unsafe conditions.
• Physical demands including vision, dexterity, and mobility; ability to work at multiple locations.
• Maintain ability to work at multiple locations as needed.
