Job summary

Polaris Pharmacy Services of Warrington LLC in Warrington, PA is seeking a Pharmacy Fill Technician for the night shift. You will accurately prepare prescriptions, perform picking, labeling, scanning, and final preparation for pharmacist verification, while keeping a clean, organized workspace and ensuring regulatory compliance.

You will support the pharmacist in processing daily drug orders, handling returns, and assisting with pre-packing medications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Pharmacy technician license/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred).
• Able to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre-pack racks).
• Accuracy check of final preparation before presenting to the pharmacist.
• Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.
• Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume times.
• Package materials and products manually.
• Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
• Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shift.
• Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly.
• Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code.
• Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected.
• Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Fill Technician accurately prepares prescriptions, including the careful picking, labeling, scanning, and final preparation of prescriptions for the pharmacist's verification. Additionally, they assist in maintaining a well-organized workspace and ensure compliance with regulations.

Education and Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice.
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred)

Physical Demands

• May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
• The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, walk
• May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
• May lift and/or move up to 30 pounds

Holiday & PTO Policy
