Job summary

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) is seeking a proactive individual to join the Pharmacy Distribution Centre Warehouse Team. The role focuses on supporting procurement, storage and distribution of medicines and vaccines across NHSGGC-wide services using automated systems.

The candidate will operate under supervision, adhere to SOPs and NHSGGC policies, and contribute to safe, efficient pharmaceutical logistics in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 Standard Grades (or equivalent) including English and Maths.
• Commitment to working towards SVQ qualifications.
• Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
• Experience of training staff and supervising staff.
• Experience in healthcare or similar environment.
• Experience with stock management processes.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Supply medicines to wards, theatres, departments, community services, GP practices, prisons and other locations.
• Operate automated cabinet systems and use computer systems for stock processing.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to stock control activities.
• Ensure compliance with GDP, FMD and relevant legislation and ensure safe distribution of medicinal products.
