Job summary

Elderwood in Massachusetts is seeking both full-time and part-time Pharmacy Drivers to safely transport medications and medical supplies to designated destinations. A clean driving record and the ability to understand orders are essential.

Responsibilities include delivering inter-office mail and clinical supplies on a scheduled route, notifying customers of delays, driving safely, reporting vehicle issues, and keeping loading areas clear in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts state driver's license with no restrictions.
• Able to comprehend orders and directions to distribute mail, medications and medical supplies.
• Able to drive in all weather conditions including snow, rain and ice.
• Able to operate full size cargo van, small panel truck, or automobile.
• Comprehend English at intermediate or higher level (read, write, speak).

Responsibilities

• Deliver inter-office mail, pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and equipment following an established schedule.
• Notify customers if deliveries will be materially late from established time schedules.
• Drive responsibly and safely to minimize damage or wear on vehicles.
• Convey any mechanical problems identified with delivery vehicles to the Director of Pharmacy Services.
• Ensure delivery vehicles are in safe operating condition (fuel, wash, tires, inspection) including transport to dealership/repair shop.
• Remove trash, empty boxes, and cartons from dispensing area as directed.
• Clear Pharmacy entrance of snow and ice during scheduled work time.
