Job summary

The Pharmacy Driver delivers medications and supplies to long-term care facilities, physician offices, hospitals/medical centers, and to patient personal residences.

Under the supervision of a pharmacist, serves patients and customers with a focus on safe, timely delivery and compliance with HIPAA and applicable laws. This full-time Rotating Shift position requires reliable driving and strong customer service in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Must be a safe driver with valid Iowa driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Registered with the Iowa Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacy Support before starting.
• Retail pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
• Mandatory Reporter Training for Child and Dependent Adult Abuse within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter.

Responsibilities

• Delivers medications and supplies to facilities and patient residences.
• Transports inventory and paperwork between pharmacies.
• Maintains delivery records and daily/monthly/annual delivery logs.
• Works under supervision of a pharmacist and adheres to all laws and policies.
• Represents MercyOne Pharmacies in a courteous, professional manner.
• Participates in safety and quality improvement initiatives.
