Job summary

AbsoluteCARE Medical Center & Pharmacy in New Orleans is seeking a Delivery Driver to support our Pharmacy and Care Teams by ensuring members receive their medications on schedule. You will deliver medications to patients, maintain delivery logs, protect patient confidentiality, and provide excellent customer service while multitasking in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• Must have reliable, legal (registered and insured as required by your state law) transportation.
• Maintain valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance.
• Basic computer skills including competency with Microsoft Outlook or similar scheduling tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with pharmacy staff to ensure deliveries leave the pharmacy on time and delivered to the designated location requested.
• Transport and deliver medication to patients in a safe and secure manner to prevent damage, spoilage, or loss.
• Maintain delivery log of activities per policy and procedure, which may include checking and/or logging recipient identification.
• Report status and any problems to pharmacy management.
• Ensure patient confidentiality.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work under limited supervision.

Job description

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch)

Compensation:$15.00 per hour, plus a $5.00 commission and mileage reimbursement.

Job Summary

This role works with our Pharmacy Team as well as our Care Teams to ensure all members receive their medications. This role will also be responsible to make deliveries to members who have not received their medications timely.
