AbsoluteCare in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Delivery Driver to support its Pharmacy Team and Care Teams by delivering medications to members and ensuring timely, safe transport.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• Must have reliable, legal transportation.
• Maintain valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance.
• Basic computer skills including competency with Microsoft Outlook or similar scheduling tools.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Deliver medications to members' designated locations safely and on time.
• Coordinate with pharmacy staff to ensure deliveries depart on schedule.
• Transport and deliver medication securely to prevent damage or loss.
• Maintain a delivery log per policy, including recipient identification checks.
• Report status and any issues to pharmacy management.

Job description

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch)

Compensation: $15.00 per hour, plus a $5.00 commission and mileage reimbursement.

Job Summary

This role works with our Pharmacy Team as well as our Care Teams to ensure all members receive their medications. This role will also be responsible to make deliveries to members who have not received their medications timely.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Work with pharmacy staff to ensure that deliveries leave the pharmacy at the appropriate time and delivered to the designated location requested.
• Transport and deliver medication to patients in a safe and secure manner to prevent damage, spoilage, or loss.
• Maintain delivery log of activities per policy and procedure, which may include checking and/or logging recipient identification.
• Report status and any problems to pharmacy management.
• Ensure patient confidentiality.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work under limited supervision.
