Job summary

Strive Pharmacy in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Data Entry Pharmacy Technician to power prescription processing with a focus on accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

You will process new and refill orders, verify patient and prescriber data, collaborate with providers and staff, and help maintain a smooth workflow in a fully onsite environment. Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9:00–5:30 or 9:30–6:00, $22–$23/hour.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a pharmacy data entry position (retail, community, or mail-order setting).
• Proficient computer ability and data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and high accuracy rate.
• Demonstrated background in customer service with a high standard of professionalism.
• Flexibility to work Saturdays as operationally required.

Responsibilities

• Prescription Processing: Accurately process new and refill prescription orders, ensuring thorough review before submission while working to fulfill daily KPIs.
• Provider & Patient Collaboration: Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to obtain missing or unclear information, including prescription details and patient or provider demographics.
• Data Verification: Confirm the accuracy and completeness of patient, prescriber, and medication data, proactively identifying and correcting discrepancies to maintain order integrity.
• Workflow Coordination: Partner closely with pharmacists, technicians, and support staff to maintain an efficient, seamless operations workflow.
• Compliance & Privacy: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA guidelines, confidential patient data protections, internal policies, and all applicable regulations.
• Technical Precision: Apply the highest level of technical attention to detail across all processing tasks.
• Performance Tier Progression: Grow with us through Beginner to Advanced levels with increasing prescriptions per day.
