Job summary

Mercury Pharmacy Services, a Guardian Pharmacy, Mountlake Terrace, WA, is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Data Entry Technician for a fast-paced, high-volume LTC environment. You will enter prescriptions accurately, triage faxes, and coordinate with doctors to ensure timely processing and deliveries.

A WA State Pharmacy Technician License is required, with 3+ years of related experience and familiarity with Framework.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related pharmacy experience in a high-volume environment.
• At least 6 months of pharmacy data entry experience in a long-term care or managed care setting.
• WA State Pharmacy Technician License required.
• Experience with pharmacy computer systems; Framework familiarity preferred.
• Knowledge of brand-name and generic medications and SIG codes.

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into Framework and other pharmacy systems accurately and efficiently.
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely processing and dispensing.
• Enter notes and cycle-fill coding; verify dosage based on the prescription.
• Communicate with doctors’ offices on assigned refills; maintain data entry records.
• Use pharmacy systems including imaging and legacy systems; manage cycle processes.
• Meet accuracy and productivity standards; assist with filing, packaging, inventory, profiling orders.
• Troubleshoot and resolve customer service issues; communicate with customers by phone.
