Job summary

JobRx, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician for a 100% prescription-entry, data-entry focused role. You will collect and input prescription information, verify insurance details, and assist with patient education on OTC products.

Onsite training will occur for 4–6 weeks, after which remote work may be possible based on performance. You will handle front-end inventory, cash register operations, and ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations while supporting a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-6 months of relevant work experience.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Addresses questions about OTC medications and assists with product selection.
• Collects and inputs prescription information, ensuring adherence to pharmacy protocols and legal requirements.
• Assists in insurance verification by contacting insurers for authorizations.
• Handles cash register operations, processes payments, and manages financial transactions including insurance claims and copayments.
• Manages front-end inventory of OTC medications and health products.
• Provides patient education and counseling on OTC medications, including dosages and potential side effects.
• Ensures compliance with pharmacy regulations, patient confidentiality, and labeling requirements.
• Prioritizes tasks and communicates with pharmacy staff to ensure timely service.
• Provides training and mentoring to less experienced staff.
