Job summary

Guardian Mid-South Pharmacy in Bartlett, Tennessee, is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to enter and process prescriptions with speed and accuracy, while communicating with customers on the phone and handling calls professionally.

The ideal candidate has a High School diploma or GED, active Pharmacy Technician credentials, and strong computer skills to support a fast-paced team. Weekend work and regular shifts are involved, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (per state requirements)
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification/registration (per state requirements); National Certification preferred (PTCB)
• Strong computer skills and accuracy in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Enter new and refill prescriptions into the operating system accurately and in a timely manner
• Triage incoming fax prescriptions to ensure timely dispensing
• Ensure proper notes in computer and cycle fill coding
• Calculate and verify correct dosage based on prescriptions
• Respond to customer calls with care and courtesy; route calls as needed
• Complete all assigned prescriptions within the regular shift
• Coordinate with doctors' offices for refills and follow-up as needed
• Develop proficiency in all pharmacy systems (document imaging, legacy systems)
• Assist with filing, packaging, inventory, and processing orders when needed
• Learn and improve cycle processes to meet delivery deadlines; maintain records
