Job summary

Americare in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to focus on prescription data entry, insurance adjudication, and claims resolution, while supporting day-to-day dispensing under supervision and assisting LTC workflow.

The ideal candidate holds an active Florida Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPhT) with PTCB/ExCPT preferred, plus proven experience in billing, claim adjudication, and Medicare/Medicaid workflows; strong communication and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPhT) required.
• PTCB/ExCPT certification preferred.
• Experience in pharmacy billing, claim adjudication, and prescription data entry.
• LTC pharmacy experience is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid billing and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Process, submit, and troubleshoot insurance claims and prior authorizations.
• Accurately enter prescription details and patient information into the system.
• Assist with dispensing tasks under pharmacist supervision.
• Maintain inventory and ensure compliant workflow and labeling.
• Coordinate with providers, insurers, and patients on billing questions.
