Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Director, Pharmacist - Pharmacy Data & Analytics to lead the organization’s data, reporting, analytics, and BI strategy for a multibillion-dollar pharmacy spend. You will partner across functions to translate complex data into insights driving affordability, outcomes, and member experience.

The role requires deep healthcare analytics expertise, leadership, and strong communication skills to influence senior stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Active and unrestricted California Pharmacist license (RPh).
PharmD degree from an accredited U.S. school of pharmacy.
At least 10 years of healthcare analytics, data science, or related experience.
6+ years of people management experience supervising teams.
Experience with large healthcare datasets and BI tools.

Responsibilities

Lead the pharmacy data, reporting, analytics, and BI strategy across a $5B+ spend portfolio.
Translate complex data into actionable insights to improve affordability, outcomes, and member experience.
Partner with Pharmacy Strategy, Formulary, Clinical, Finance, Actuarial, Product and Operations to deliver analytics solutions.
Develop enterprise analytics performance measurement frameworks and regulatory reporting.
