Job summary

The Blue Shield of California Pharmacy team seeks a Director, Pharmacist - Pharmacy Data & Analytics to lead the data, reporting, analytics, and BI strategy for a multi-billion-dollar pharmacy spend. You will translate complex healthcare data into actionable insights and partner with diverse teams to improve affordability, outcomes, and member experience.

Qualifications

Requires an active California RPh license.
Requires Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited U.S. school.
Requires 10 years of healthcare analytics, BI, reporting, or data science.
Requires 6 years of people management with direct reports.
Experience with large healthcare datasets including pharmacy claims.
Experience with PowerBI, Tableau, or Business Objects.
Experience with SQL and cloud-based data environments (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, AWS, or GCP).
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Detail-oriented with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Solution-oriented mindset to resolve challenges.

Responsibilities

Lead analytics strategy for pharmacy data and BI across all lines of business.
Partner with Pharmacy Strategy, Formulary, Clinical, Finance, Actuarial, Product, Operations, and vendors.
Develop performance measurement frameworks and conduct trend and cost analyses.
