Job summary

Blue Shield of California is seeking a Director, Pharmacist - Pharmacy Data & Analytics to lead the pharmacy organization's data, reporting, analytics, and BI strategy for a spend portfolio exceeding $5 billion annually. You will translate complex pharmacy data into insights that drive affordability, outcomes, and member experience, partnering across functions.

The role requires CA RPh license, PharmD, 10+ years in healthcare analytics, and 6+ years of people management.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, BI, or data science.
Demonstrated leadership of analytic teams and projects.
Experience with large healthcare datasets (claims, eligibility, provider data).
Proficient in SQL and data warehousing environments.
Experience with Power BI, Tableau or Business Objects for enterprise reporting.
Knowledge of healthcare quality measures and regulatory reporting.

Responsibilities

Lead enterprise pharmacy data analytics strategy and BI roadmap.
Translate complex data into actionable insights driving affordability and outcomes.
Partner with Finance, Actuarial, Clinical, and Ops to deliver analytics solutions.
Oversee data governance, dashboards, and regulatory reporting.
