As a Pharmacy Data Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping strategic decisions by developing reporting solutions and conducting analyses that impact our initiatives. We seek a skilled professional with pharmacy data experience who can manage projects and solve challenges with significant financial implications. Your analytics will support pharmacy management decisions and help develop innovative solutions, contributing to healthcare evolution and improving pharmacy services.

Qualifications

What You Bring to Cambia:

Pharmacy Data Analyst I

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, health information administration, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or related field
  • 2 years’ relevant work experience in data analysis or supporting relational database development in healthcare or business systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Pharmacy Data Analyst II

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields and
  • 5 years’ relevant work experience in data analysis or supporting relational database development
  • STARS and MES experience strongly preferred

Pharmacy Data Analyst III

  • Bachelor’s degree in related fields and
  • 8 years’ relevant work experience in data analysis or supporting relational database development
  • STARS and MES experience strongly preferred

Skills And Attributes

Level I:

  • Advanced SQL expertise, report-writing skills, proficiency in Oracle, Access, SQL Navigator, Excel (pivot tables, VBA, macros, vlookups)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of complex analyses and developing methodologies
  • Understanding of healthcare data systems and fundamentals, including medical terminology and coding
  • Business acumen in finance, risk management, and project management
  • Excellent communication skills for stakeholder engagement and training
  • Ability to create and validate procedures and manage training activities
  • Knowledge of managed care principles and actuarial concepts

Level II includes all Level I skills plus:

  • Advanced SQL and report-writing skills; department expert
  • Proficiency with Oracle, VBA, SQL tools, and data access tools
  • Excellent communication and independent project management skills

Level III includes all Level I and II skills plus:

  • Ability to work independently or lead projects and mentor others

What You Will Do At Cambia

Levels I and II:

  • Develop and maintain SQL reports, dashboards, and validation routines
  • Perform statistical analysis and data modeling for healthcare metrics
  • Design reporting systems and ensure data integrity
  • Evaluate impacts of new products and processes on data infrastructure
  • Mentor staff in reporting methodologies
  • Collaborate cross-functionally and communicate findings
  • Make decisions with significant financial impact and validate reports

Level III:

  • Serve as technical expert on pharmacy data analytics
  • Mentor and lead projects
