Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service to customers.
- Recommends items for sale and suggests trade-up or companion products.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, and processing refunds, returns, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products in the store.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and records transactions. Assists with merchandise pricing and stocking as directed by management.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information accurately, assisting in prescription filling, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions. Supports pharmacists with scheduling and workflow management.
- Reports prescription errors immediately and complies with company policies, including the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including communications with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports inventory management activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques and manages claims related to overages, shortages, or damages.
- Ensures compliance with regulations on regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays and completes resets as directed.
- Assists with product placement, stock rotation, and restocking according to store policies.
- Operates store systems and equipment proficiently.
- Provides customer service in the photo department, including passport photos, poster prints, and promotional products.
- Manages web order pickups and delivers orders to customers.
- Supports store cleanliness and organization, maintaining a neat and orderly environment.
- Follows all company policies and maintains respectful relationships with coworkers.
- Completes assigned tasks and special projects as needed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state certification as required.
- Attends training sessions, completes continuing education, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
