Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommends items for sale to customers and suggests trade-up or complementary products.
- Processes transactions at the cash register, including handling cash, returns, refunds, and exchanges. Assists customers in locating products.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures accurate pricing and stocking as directed by management.
- Supports pharmacy activities under supervision, including entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medications, and assisting with workflow. Reports prescription errors immediately to the pharmacist and complies with pharmacy policies and codes of conduct.
- Handles phone inquiries not requiring pharmacist intervention, including communication with physicians.
- Processes third-party prescription claims and performs clerical duties as assigned.
- Supports pharmacy inventory management, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals, and managing claims for overages, shortages, and damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products such as alcohol and tobacco.
- Constructs and maintains store displays, including promotional and seasonal setups, and performs store resets as needed.
- Assists with food product placement, stock rotation, and restocking using FIFO principles.
- Operates store systems and equipment proficiently.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photos, poster prints, and promotional products.
- Manages web order pickups and delivery to customers.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and adheres to all company policies, fostering respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes additional tasks and special assignments as directed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state registration through ongoing training and continuing education.
- Attends training sessions, completes required courses, and stays updated on healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
