Job summary

Walgreens in West Milford, NJ is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists by entering patient data, processing prescriptions, and delivering courteous service. You will work under supervision, use pharmacy systems, and help maintain accuracy and patient safety.

Responsibilities include assisting with prescription processing, inventory, and engaging customers in a fast-paced retail setting. Previous pharmacy exposure and PTCB certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Prefer good math skills for prescriptions.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engages customers and patients, greets them, and assists with products and services to ensure positive experience.
• Maintains cleanliness and merchandised shelves, handles inventory, and assists with inventory management and price changes.
• Performs duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist, including entering patient and drug information and supporting workflow.
