Job summary

Walgreens in Cromwell, CT is seeking a retail associate to provide courteous checkout service and assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in processing prescriptions. The role requires flexible availability, a retail background, and strong math/computer skills, with PTCB certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills for filling prescriptions accurately.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• PTCB certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly checkout service and assist customers at the register.
• Assist the pharmacist under direct supervision in dispensing and processing prescriptions.
• Engage customers to ensure a positive experience and recommend items as appropriate.
• Maintain clean, well-merchandised counters and shelves and support inventory control.
• Support pharmacy department on inventory management and workflow.
