Job summary

Walgreens is hiring for a position in Alabama that supports pharmacists under supervision and handles cash register duties while delivering a high-quality customer experience. The role requires English fluency, flexibility for evenings/weekends, and basic math and computer skills.

Prior retail or Walgreens experience is preferred. The pharmacist-support duties include entering patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and ensuring accuracy and safety in dispensing.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of retail experience.
• Prefer prior Walgreens experience.
• Good math skills for precise prescription counting and weighing.
• Good computer skills and familiarity with store inventory control.
• PTCB certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide courteous, friendly checkout service.
• Assist pharmacist under supervision in processing prescriptions and using pharmacy systems.
• Register sales on the cash register and handle cash, returns, and exchanges where needed.
• Maintain clean, organized counters and shelves and monitor inventory levels.
• Support Pharmacy Manager with workflow and adherence to policies and quality program.
