Job summary

Walgreens in Wareham, MA is hiring for a customer-focused associate to support in-store and pharmacy operations. You will warmly greet customers, handle checkout, and assist the pharmacist under direct supervision using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions.

You will provide friendly service, suggest complementary items, manage inventory, and ensure displays are well maintained. Prior retail or Walgreens experience and basic math/computer skills are preferred; PTCB certification is a plus.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prior six months of retail experience is preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience is preferred.
• Good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service.
• Assists pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy under direct supervision, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services; resolves issues to ensure a positive experience.
• Provides courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service and recommends items for sale.
• Uses store systems to enter patient and drug information, fills prescriptions, and ensures accuracy of dispensing.
• Maintains store appearance, inventory, and displays; performs merchandise checks and price updates.
• Assists with inventory management and warehouse shipments, and protects assets per company policy.
• Under supervision, supports pharmacy workflow and schedules, and reports prescription errors to the pharmacist on duty.
