About the Position

The Pharmacy Clinical Manager oversees all daily clinical and operational activities of the Pharmacy Department. This includes planning, managing, and evaluating tasks and functions of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians, addressing all aspects of patient care from a clinical perspective as well as ongoing organizational needs. The manager also serves as the Residency Program Director (RPD) for the pharmacy’s PGY‑1 Residency, responsible for the continued development, oversight, and maintenance of the pharmacy residency program.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a preceptor for pharmacy residents and College of Pharmacy students.
• Design, manage, measure, and improve the medication management system.
• Ensure quality outcomes through coordination of performance‑improvement activities.
• Work closely with the informatics teams on intermittent projects or ongoing optimization related to medication utilization.
• Manage the pharmaceutical supply chain to assure sufficient medication availability.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements, including residency.
• Assist in developing and maintaining a formulary approved by medical staff.
• Coordinate and work with the P&T Chair on pharmacy and therapeutics meeting agenda, reports, and when necessary minutes.
• Effectively administer performance evaluations for assigned pharmacists.
